Updates on Upcoming Events We hope that everyone had a wonderful Summer. The Georgia Section is planning several events for the remainder of 2011. We are holding a Happy Hour at Dunwoody's Firkin & Griffin Pub, a Luncheon on October 21st, a Tailgating Event with the new ASHE Student Chapter at Georgia Tech, and our Annual Holiday Party. More details will be available soon.
Georgia Tech Student Chapter A new Student Chapter of ASHE is being formed at Georgia Tech. If you would like more information regarding this new organization, please contact Kevin Riggs.

ASHE January Luncheon - January 20th, 2012
Thanks for being a part of such a great start to the 2012 ASHE year! Everyone will agree that the presentation clarified a number of questions about Erosion and Sedementation Control.

ASHE LinkedIn Account The Georgia Section of ASHE has created a LinkedIn Account as an oppurtunity to further our professional and social outreach. Log into your LinkedIn account and search for the ASHE group and request to be part of our network!
Board Meeting Minutes
Beginning November 2010, the Georgia Section of ASHE has been posting its meeting minutes online. Board meetings are generally held after the section's luncheons. If you have any topics you would like to be discussed, contact Tim Matthews (tmatthews@dot.ga.gov).

Thanks again to our two featured speakers, Jason Autry of PaveStone and Trey Wylie of K.B. Industries, Inc. The products they spoke about are remarkable.
We also presented the two recipients of the 2011 Jim McGee Scholarship with their awards. Phillip Cherry and Gregory Macfarlane are both students at Georgia Tech and each received scholarships in the amount of $1500. Congratulations to them both.
